In Between - Poem
Sky above, earth below. Caught in middle; where to go?
Toe in water, finger in air. Look around me. Shake my hair.
Sit on stoop. Heave big sigh. Cradle head. Start to cry.
Cheerful birdsong breaks the spell. Bird is cared for; end my hell.
Wipe my tears, look around. More to life than saddened sound.
Stand up tall. Listen closely. Moving forward, have faith mostly.
